After becoming the brand ambassador of 'Incredible India', this time, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has been nominated as the brand ambassador of National School Sanitation Initiative, a government venture to spread knowledge on cleanliness among school kids.
As a part of his new project, Mr. Perfectionist will now be seen promoting cleanliness in all Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) schools all over the country.
Mr. Kapil Sibal, Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister stated, "We are happy to have Aamir as our brand ambassador. We hope, he will help this scheme become a success."
Hinting at Aamir's movies 'Taare Zameen Par' and '3 Idiots', the minister said that the actor has already tried to create public responsiveness on different facets of the education structure.
In the meantime, Aamir said that he is glad and grateful to be able to be a part of this program.
"I need to sit down with the HRD and urban development ministries and chalk out a proper package. Since this involves children, it will be really interesting if we can convey what we want to say through CDs and internet in schools," he added.
The National School Sanitation Initiative include awareness on personal hygiene, safe sanitation, hygienic toilet habits, secure drinking water, removal of sewer water, human excreta disposal, waterless pissoirs, waste separatism and composting food hygiene and protection of green spaces.
