Indian Bollywood Super-star Amir Khan, currently in news for rocking success of 3 Idiots, will be the new brand ambassador of Etisalat, a leading firm based in UAE which plans to roll out operation in Indian telecom segment.

The agreement reportedly for Rs 30-35 crores will last for three years, told persons concerned with the development.

Khan, enjoying heights of popularity, is also taking other assignments for Coca Cola, Tata Sky and Samsung. Confirming the deal, a person concerned with the development said, "Aamir has become the only Indian actor to have been paid such big bucks. The deal had been on for long but it was only recently that the entire plan was finalized."

Amir Khan beats bollywood star SRK by charging such a big amount for the assignment. SRK currently charges between Rs 6 to 8 crores per advertisement.

Etisalat has presence in the telecommunication segment of UAE since 1976 and it would start up its operations in India under brand name Swan Telecom, a company established by Etisalat and DB Realty.
