ABB India's Net Declines 54.17% In Q2ABB India has registered a decline of 54.17% in its net profit at Rs 38.31 crore in the three month period ended June 2010 as compared to Rs 83.60 crore during the like period of 2009.

In a statement, it said, "The results of the company were adversely impacted in the second quarter on account of continued costs on the exit from rural electrification business and increasing price pressure in the market."

Private sector power and automation company has reported a fall of 3.88% in its total revenue at Rs 1,446.6 crore as against Rs 1,505 crore in the same period of previous year.

The orders of the company during the first quarter fell by 41.53% at Rs 1,234.6 crore as compared to high order intake of Rs 2,111.6 crore received in the like period of previous year.

"Orders were impacted due to delay in conclusion of a number of large projects compared to the same period last year and continued price pressure in the market," the statement added.

On Friday, the company's stock closed at Rs 812.05, down 4.1%, on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Current EPS & P/E ratio stood at 15.10 and 53.79 respectively.

The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 886.50 and a low of Rs 650 on BSE.
