Amin resigns as GCA president

Amin resigns as GCA presidentGujarat Cricket Association (GCA) president Narhari Amin has resigned today as his 16-year reign came to an end during which he flourished the state unit to an association with worth Rs 40 crore.

Amin, former Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, said that he has never played dirty politics during last 16 years as president of GCA, and he has not been opposed by anyone since 1993 but now as elections would have been enforced for the control of GCA so he decided to resign.

He further added that when he had joined GCA it was having debts of more than Rs 8 crore, but now it has total balance of Rs 40 crore.

This resign was result of campaign against Amin by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's right hand man and Minister of State for Home, Amit Shah from last one year.

The Shah group has recently won the important elections of Central Cricket Board of Ahmedabad (CBCA) as11 members of CBCA go to GCA executive council.
