Amr Menhali will head Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank or ADCB according to a recent announcement made by the Islamic Bank. Having vast experience in hand, Amr, a UAE national, was a person behind the launch of ADCB's Islamic Banking Business in 2008.
He has been associated with the ADCB since 2006 and acted as member of the Steering Committee in monitoring the project since its inception.
He remained instrumental in taking the Islamic Banking division at new heights and saw the acquisition of the Royal Bank of Scotland's retail business in the UAE. He is also nominated as member of Abu Dhabi Finance (ADF) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Islamic Finance Company (ADCIF).
He is also serving the central bank of UAE, representing its National Anti Money Laundering Committee.
Ala'a Eraiqat, CEO and Board Member at ADCB hailed the contribution made by Amr Menhali for the bank and asserted, "It is with great pleasure that we appoint Amr to the position of Head of Islamic Banking for the Bank."
