London, July 12 : Amy Winehouse reportedly wants to record her next album in Kwéyol, the local dialect of St Lucia.
The troubled singer who has applied for citizenship of the Caribbean town might as well be taking intensive lessons to learn the local language.
She is still undecided if major changes need to be done to the lyrics she has already written in English.
"Amy hasn''t decided whether to translate the tracks she''s already written or to write something else that better suits the sound of the language," the News of the World quoted a source as saying
However, the revelation has left chiefs at `Island Records' fuming.
They expected to release the Grammy winner's album next year and stage her comeback after a string of controversies related to drug abuse.
A top music insider said: "There''s no way we can release an album with Amy singing in a Caribbean language. We''d be a laughing stock - it would be a commercial flop." (ANI)
