Washington, August 26 : Amy Winehouse's father Mitch has won back the name of the foundation that he wished to open in the memory of his late daughter.
He has won back the company and domain name from an online opportunist.
Mitch announced last month (Jul11) that he wants to set up The Amy Winehouse Foundation to help young Brits struggling with drink and drug addictions.
Plans quickly hit a stumbling block after it emerged the name had already been registered as an official company, forcing Mitch to hand back donations given to help fund the clinic.
According to The Sun, the man who allegedly bought the rights to the name dismissed criticism of his actions, insisting it was purely a business move.
However, Mitch has now claimed the rights to the company name and its online presence.
"We have finally sorted the company and web site names. So now we can get cracking (started)," Contactmusic quoted him as tweeting. (ANI)
