Apple has announced that it has sold 1 million of iPad devices. Apple iPad has hit the market six weeks before and within this period of time it has managed to set an awesome sales record.

It was released on 3rd of April amidst all hype and speculations. Moreover, it has a better show in the market against the iPhone when it was released in the market. It is selling faster than the Apple iPhone.

Chief executive Officer of Apple, Steve Jobs has informed that it took 74 days to sell one million iPhone but for iPad it is less than half of that. It took only 28 days to reach the milestone. He has also said that the sales figures of Apple apps are equally impressive.

Around 12 million applications have been sold after the release of iPad. Apart from that 1.5 million digital books have also being sold to read on the color touchscreen of the iPad.

However, the company has introduced the 3G version of iPad on 30th April. It is also expected to produce a good show in the market.
