India's largest sugar manufacturer Bajaj Hindusthan has announced its financial results for first quarter of the fiscal year 2010-11 and it has informed that, it has suffered a loss in this reviewed quarter as compared to the same quarter in last year.
The net loss of Bajaj Hindusthan was reported to be Rs 14.91 crore for the first quarter of the current year. For the same period of time, the net loss was Rs 60.08 crore in the previous year.
Bajaj Hindusthan has informed this fact in a filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange. However, the total income of the company has gone up in the quarter under review.
The total income of the company stood at Rs 727.78 crore in Q1 of 2010-11 which was reported to be Rs 399.33 crore for its like period a year ago.
Hence, the total income of the company has grown up by 82% in this quarter against its corresponding quarter last year. The quarterly expenditure of the firm has been Rs 707.62 crore during the quarter.
