Bajaj to increase its production

Bajaj-AutoAs the second largest two-wheeler maker in the country has almost made a comeback in the Indian market after facing a tough in many months of the past two years, Bajaj Auto is certainly making efforts to keep the growth sustainable.

With already gaining momentum in the entry-level segment in the Indian two-wheelers market, the company is now planning to expand its capacity to meet the exceeding demands of the consumers. According to its CEO for 2-wheelers, S. Sridhar, the company will take the present capacity of plant - 2.75 lakh units per month to 3 lakh units in three to four months time.

In fact, Sridhar also pointed out the fact that the company has plans to even expand the capacity further depending upon the demand from the market.

While the announced hike will depend on the nature of the plant but it may be noted here that Bajaj Auto has three manufacturing plants at Waluj near Aurangabad, Pantnagar in Uttarakhand and Chakan near Pune. Bajaj Auto has a target of selling 4 million units this year out of which close to 3.6 million will be the motorcycles which will primarily comprise of the Pulsar and Discover range of products.
