M.Venkaiah NaiduNew Delhi, Sep. 1 : Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader M. Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday said the party’s top leadership has full faith in the former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

BJP has asked Raje to step down from the post of Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly in the wake of the party''s recent poll debacle.

On Tuesday, M Venkaiah Naidu along with other senior leaders Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley called on the party president Rajnath Singh at his residence here.

Naidu told media after meeting Rajnath Singh that he has received a letter from Vasundhara Raje expressing her regrets for not meeting him.

“I have received a letter from Vasundhara Raje where she had written that she was unable to meet me yesterday as she was down with fever. She said in the letter that she would meet us once she is well. I have told this to the party president. There is no hurry whenever she is alright, we will talk," said M Venkaiah Naidu.

Naidu expressed “full faith” in Raje and that she would abide by whatever the party leadership decided about her fate.

“I have full faith that whatever the party''s central committee decides, she will abide by that,”Naidu added.

On the issue of expelled leader Jaswant Singh, Naidu said, "Someone leaves the party and party expels someone, you people know the difference between the two." (ANI)
