Washington, Mar 24: A new study has revealed that school kids who skip their breakfast miss out on essential healthy brain fuel.
The national MBF Healthwatch survey discovered that children ‘wag’ breakfast as they have ‘no time’ to eat, they are ‘too tired’ or ‘can''t be bothered’ to have a meal before going to school.
As per the survey, 22 percent of parents interviewed said their children skip breakfast on three to five school days of each week, and a further 20 percent skip breakfast on one or two school days.

Phnom Penh - Lawyers for a former Khmer Rouge leader said Thursday that confidential documents were stolen from their office at Cambodia's UN-backed war crimes tribunal and left in a moat outside the court's detention facility.
Michael Pestman, international co-lawyer for Khmer Rouge chief ideologue Noun Chea, said he found the documents after a visit to his client in the detention facility Wednesday.

Mohali (Punjab), Oct 22 : The death of a 48-year-old woman, who died after suffering from swine flu at a hospital of this Punjab town has sparked controversy, an official said Thursday. The woman's death has pointed towards irregularities in the procedures followed by hospital staff while treating her.
Vinu Gupta, a native of Solan town in Himachal Pradesh, was admitted to the Silver Oaks hospital Oct 18 with symptoms of the influenza A (H1N1) virus. She succumbed to the disease that afternoon.

Ranchi, Dec 28 - Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) chief Shibu Soren, who is set to form the government in Jharkhand with support from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), Monday left Ranchi for Mumbai to meet BJP president Nitin Gadkari.
"Soren left for Mumbai along with AJSU chief Sudesh Mahto, BJP state president Raghubar Das and senior BJP leader C. P. Singh by a chartered plane," Supriyo Bhattacharya, general secretary of JMM, told IANS.

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 12 - Veteran Congress leader and former Kerala chief minister K. Karunakaran was admitted to a hospital here Thursday after he complained of breathlessness and fever, officials said.
According to doctors, Karunakaran, who turned 91 in June, had been advised rest for a week. (IANS)

Washington, April 24 : People with Asian and Hispanic backgrounds as well as older Americans will have greater effects on the country’s socio-economic outlook than previously thought, according to a report.
The Public Policy & Aging Report (PPAR) suggests that Hispanics and Asian immigrants have dispersed away from the traditional magnets of Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Miami to new destinations in all parts of the country.
It suggests that the immigrants’ dispersal has started to show a profound impact on the entire country.

Amsterdam - The Netherlands will announce the results of their European Parliament elections on Thursday, three days before voting ends across the European Union, Internal Affairs ministry spokesman Frank Wassenaar confirmed Wednesday.
Wassenaar told the German Press Agency dpa that the Dutch would ignore a request from the European Commission, the EU executive, not to release any election results before voting has ended in the entire bloc, on Sunday night.

According to Jain, the investors can buy the stock with a stop loss of Rs 81.

Ancient rock art rewrites Australian history

According to a report in The New Zealand Herald, the paintings were found in the Arnhem Land, which juts out into the Arafura Sea at the top of Australia.
Alongside ancient paintings of thylacines, a mammal long extinct on the mainland, are images documenting modern-day inventions - a car, a bicycle wheel, a biplane and a rifle, as well as portraits of a missionary and a sea captain.
