BSE, NSE To Hold 90 Minute Special Trading On SaturdayIndia's top two bourses, Bombay Stock Exchange & National Stock Exchange, will have a special 90-minute 'LIVE' trading session this Saturday (Feb 06), to permit NSE trial an advanced trading system.

"A special live trading session shall be held on Saturday, February 6 for the Securities Lending and Borrowing scheme," said a statement on the NSE.

In separate notices, both stock markets stated that the trading in the cash and futures market will start at 11 a. m. and close at 12:30 p. m.

The National Stock Exchange is raising the capital market trading system's capacity by carrying out a horizontally scalable architecture.

Subsisting trading system architecture at the National Stock Exchange will be revamped by making use of a distributed processing concept.

With the intention to keep hold of its expert staff amid growing rivalry, BSE has announced 24% increase in salaries to its officer-grade employees w. e. f. April 1, 2008.

The source said that the salary increases have been given to over 200 officers out of the total employee strength of around 540.
