Can ovarian cancer be curtailed by drinking tea?

Drinking-TeaA research at the leading University of Washington, involving 2,000 women, concluded that by having a cup or two of black tea every day one can reduce the risk of developing ovarian cancer.

According to the studies at the University, it was observed that women who consumed at least one cup of green tea every day were less likely to suffer from ovarian cancer.

In support of this, a second study on the same topic was performed at the National Institute of Environmental Medicine in Stockholm. It too gave the same results and showed a slash in aggregate percentage of occurrence in the disease with the consumption of tea.

It has been found out that cancer- resistant properties are present in the antioxidants present in tea.

If an appropriate amount is taken then tea not only boosts the brain, but also works wonders in cutting down on the cholesterol levels.
