Can Sasikuma's 'Easan' Beat Subramaniapuram?

SasikumaFilmmaker Sasikumar commenced his directorial venture with Subramaniapuram, which now stands out as one of the best Indian movies of this decade. The film also marked Sasikumar's maiden production followed by Pasanga. Nearly after 3 years, Sasikumar is back as a director and is ready with the release of his next film 'Easan'.

Unlike his previous movies, Easan has been completely shot in the backdrops of Chennai and this is the first City based movie made by Sasikumar. The film focalizes on the contemporaneous lifestyle of various social classes in Chennai. Specifically the film will revolve around the harassment of girls at pubs and discotheques during night times

Is the film based on Michael Caine's Hollywood movie Harry Brown? `Not at all' says the closer sources of Sasikumar, who furthermore adds that the film will depict Chennai in a different dimension.

Shedding lights on this film, Sasikumar says that there are two ways to feed the child. One is with certain promises on getting their favorites if they eat the food or else to frighten by saying that if they don't eat the food, the ghost will take them away. Well, Easan will belong to the latter category as the audiences will be brimmed fear while walking out of theatres after the show.

The film is produced by Sasikumar's home banner and is hitting screens this Friday (December 17). We will have to wait and see whether Easan will wipe the records of Subramaniapuram...
