Censor Board objects to 'explicit violence scenes', 'Kaminey' gets 'A' certificate!

KamineyHere's a setback for Vishal Bhardwaj's directed upcoming flick 'Kaminey'.

The magnum opus 'Kaminey' starring Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra have been given an A rating by Censor Board as they did not find it fit enough to be aired on TV.

As per the censor board, the movie contains some explicit violence scenes which will put a wrong impression on general public.

However, Vishal Bharadwaj did not seem happy with this decision. He said that he was very upset with the censor board decision as he wanted 'U/A' grade instead of 'A' grade for his film.

Speaking with the media persons, a disappointed Vishal said: "To tell you the truth I am really disappointed but now am settling down with it because I cannot do anything about it. I do feel that there has been a little injustice as far as Kaminey is concerned. I feel it is very necessary to have a rating system in our censor board."

Vishal added that 'Kaminey' is a very comic book kind of film and there is no offensive language in the film.

Now it would be interesting to see whether Vishal wants to give his movie a fast release or he wants to battle it out in the court. The Shahid-Priyanka starrer is slated to release on August 14.
