Cheryl Cole''s ex reveals how his drug habit took toll on star’s health

Cheryl ColeLondon, Aug 30 : Singer Cheryl Cole''s former love Jason Mack has revealed that she tried hard to get him off drugs when they were dating and in the process she even became clinically depressed.

He has written a biography of the Girls Aloud star, titled CHERYL, in which he has disclosed many unknown facts.

"When I first met Cheryl I was doing a lot of cocaine. Some days I''d blow 200 pounds on the stuff. But she''d sit with me for hours to talk me out of getting drugs," the News of the World quoted him as stating him in the tome.

He also recalls how she pleaded with him: "You don''t need it, man! Why do you need that when you got me?"

Moreover, the beauty’s health had deteriorated during the phase.

Jason added: "She wasn''t eating. And she wasn''t sleeping from the worry, in case she had to identify me on a slab somewhere. She lost that much weight that people actually thought she was taking heroin with me."

Cole, who was just 16 back then, confessed that she weighted skeletal five stone 11 pounds and became so clinically depressed that doctors prescribed her medication.

She said: " It was abusive . . . he was taking drugs and I wasn''t very well.

I was depressed and poorly for two years, really poorly mentally. I''d wake up in the middle of the night and he''d be gone, and every time you got a phone call you didn''t know where he was going to be." (ANI)
