Cole fears he will be playing his last World CupLondon, Sep. 1 : Ashley Cole fears next summer''s World Cup could be his last.

The 28-year-old Chelsea left back can already feel England''s crop of youngsters breathing down his neck.

Cole is in line to earn his 75th international cap in Saturday''s friendly with Slovenia.

"A few of the players have started to realise that this World Cup could be our last tournament. I''ve got good young players coming up in my position, so I know there is pressure. I have to focus and make sure I do well. It''s the same for a lot of players," The Sun quoted him, as saying.

Cole is well aware that Arsenal''s 19- year-old starlet Kieran Gibbs has made a big impression with the Under-21s and will soon be gunning for his place in the senior team.

Many current Three Lions stars are the wrong side of 30 or getting close.

Keeper David James was 39 last month, former skipper David Beckham is 34 and Frank Lampard celebrated his 31st birthday in June.

Steven Gerrard is 29, Rio Ferdinand will be 31 in November and captain John Terry turns 29 just before Christmas. (ANI)
