New Delhi [India], Feb 20 : Connect Broadband, the telecom arm of the Videocon Group and market leader in broadband in Punjab has collaborated with Indian mobile wallet major 'MobiKwik' to offer and promote cashless digital transactions.
As a part of this strategic tie up, any connect broadband customer who makes his connect broadband bill payment using the MobiKwik wallet service can avail a cash-back of up to Rs. 150 or 15 percent of the bill amount, whichever is lower.
New Delhi [India], Feb 8 : Indian mobile wallet major MobiKwik has said that Tier II and Tier III towns are leading the next level of growth in cashless transactions as the steps initiated by the Central Government to promote digital payments in smaller towns are yielding results.
States such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand are leading this growth as more and more merchants begin accepting digital payments.
"The Government's move to incentivize use of digital payments and extending loans based on a digital footprint has created a larger merchant ecosystem for digital payments," said co-founder MobiKwik, Upasana Taku.
New Delhi [India], Jan. 23 : MobiKwik, a mobile wallet and online payment system, on Monday announced national tie-ups with Fortis Healthcare Ltd. and Medanta to power digital payments at the two multi-super specialty hospitals of India. Patrons to the two institutions will now be able to safely make payments using the MobiKwik mobile app and need not worry about cash.
The partnerships with Fortis and Medanta closely follow the successful enabling of cashless payment solutions at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) by MobiKwik.
New Delhi [India], Jan 12 : Wallet major MobiKwik on Thursday today released five more language versions on its app to further connect with millions of customers for easy transactions via their hand-held devices.
Customers can now access the app in eight languages including English,
Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Oria, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.
Based on the app's lighter variant MobiKwik LITE, the app can be downloaded with standard mobile internet connections by giving just one missed call.
New Delhi [India], Jan 10 : Indian mobile wallet major MobiKwik has announced zero surcharge on all transactions at petrol pumps and on LPG gas payments.
MobiKwik is currently accepted across petrol pumps and gas stations in top 20 cities in India. These include all major Indian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum pumps in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Vijaywada, Pune, Indore, Bhubaneshwar among other leading cities.
The company also powers digital payments for LPG companies like Indane, Bharat Gas and HP.

New Delhi [India], Nov 30 : In order to encourage use of mobile wallets in poor connectivity regions, MobiKwik recently launched 'MobiKwik Lite' app to work smoothly on 2G (EDGE) connections, which will now receive payments through UPI and wallets, including MobiKwik by sending an SMS to their customers.
Weighing less than 1MB, the MobiKwik Lite Android app will enable bank transfers for all MobiKwik Lite users till March 31, 2017.
New Delhi [India], Nov 25 : Leading mobile wallet MobiKwik has announced that its wallet service will soon be live at 391 toll plazas in India.
The company has received an approval from NHAI to enable commuters across all toll plazas in the country pay cashless through its mobile wallet to avoid traffic congestion due to cash crunch.
"We appreciate NHAI's support in making wallet payments ubiquitous in India. Commuters across the country can soon pay cashless at all toll plazas using their MobiKwik wallet. We have taken this step in the wake of demonetization, to avoid congestion at highways, owing to the ill effects of cash crunch," said Co-founder MobiKwik, Bipin Preet Singh.
New Delhi [India], Nov.19 : Mobile wallet firm MobiKwik on Saturday said that its nearby feature has seen an over 2500 percent increase in traffic since demonetisation kicked in.
In a statement, the company said that the nearby feature has helped millions of MobiKwik users in identifying food and shopping outlets around them that accept MobiKwik payments.
It further said that users can also locate cash deposit locations around them with this feature.
