US tlecom service providr, Verizon wireless has released the new Motorola Droid Razr Maxx smartphone in the country. The Droid Razr Maxx, which is claimed to have a 21 hours of battery life, will be launched on 26 January. The device is 8.99 mm thick and is thus thinner than the iPhone, which measures 9.3 mm.

The smartphone is powered by 3300 mAh battery and comes with 4.3-inch Super AMOLED HD-resolution screen. It runs on a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and features 32 GB memory including 16 GB built-in memory and a pre-installed 16 GB microSD card.

Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc, which was acquired by Google last year, has won a German patent ruling against Apple in a case involving patent infringement claims.

The Mannheim Regional Court ruling favored Motorola in a case involving Apple iCloud service. The ruling may allow the company to block sale of Apple device such as iPhone and iPad in the country if they are found to be offering the service.

Phone maker, Motorola has announced the launch of new Defy+ powered by Google's Android in the Indian market.

Phone maker, Motorola has announced its new WiMax-based Photon 4G smartphone for Sprint network at a media event in New York.

The Photon 4G features a 4.3-inch screen, dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 camera, 1 GB of RAM and 8 megapixel rear camera. The device will run Android 2.3 and will come with a kickstand.

Jha said, "With MOTOBLUR, we have found that being able to convey the value proposition around MOTOBLUR is not an easy thing to do in a 30-second ad spot. We have decided that we will focus on the value proposition of products and not MOTOBLUR as a brand name in its own right."

Motorola is rejoicing at the moment as it pronounces a 600 percent rise in overall profits coming from Q2, and all credited to network equipment division and smartphone sales.

It has been stated that the main reason of boost were the Droid smartphones that included Droid and new Droid X, both posted a huge rise in sales. And also both devices are traded via Verizon Wireless, the U. S.' largest carrier.

In regard of this matter the large chunk of quarterly profit flew down from the company's networks equipment unit, which Motorola aims to trade with Nokia Siemens for approximately $1.2 bn.
