On Wednesday, it has been reported that Japan's largest drug maker, Takeda Pharmaceutical Co is looking forward to talk with Indian generic drug makers, Cipla and Lupin, about buying one of the companies' pharmaceutical businesses.

Further, the report suggested that Takeda was willing to buy the Lupin’s domestic formulations business as well as its research facility, though its founders had no intention to sell the research unit.
