Congress spokesman dismisses Premji's remark on governanceCongress spokesman Manish Tewari has dismissed a recent remark made by businessman, Azim Premji in which he said that the biggest problem in the country is the lack of decision making in the government.

Mr. Tewari expressed that the UPA government is taking decisions at various levels keeping in the mind the interest of the country. He also said that the Wipro chief should have pointed to the government if he had noticed an issue.

Premji has said that there is a "complete absence of decision making" in the country by the government and also said that the growth will slowdown if actions are not taken. "I think the biggest concerns are governance issues... complete absence of decision-making among leaders in the government," he said

He added that the government must realize the importance of the matter, referring to the long list of spasm that has tarnished the image of the government in the country. Tiwari, urged Premji to approach the government with his areas of concern and assured that corrective actions will be taken.

A group of prominent personalities including Deepak Parekh of HDFC, Jamshyd Godrej of Godrej group, Azim Premji of Wipro, Keshub Mahindra of M&M, Anu Aga of Thermax, former RBI Governor Bimal Jalan, and former judges BN Srikrishna and Sam Variava, had written a letter to the leaders to express cancers over the string of spam expose in the country.
