CWC to discuss govt. formation todayNew Delhi, May 17 : The Congress Working Committee (CWC) will meet today to discuss and deliberate on the future plans.

AICC General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi said the CWC would meet on Sunday afternoon to discuss its future plans and to thanks the voters for reposing their faith in the Congress.

Commenting on the election results, Dwivedi said that this was perhaps the first time that a coalition government did not have anti-incumbency against it.

"It was also the first coalition government which fulfilled its promises made in the 2004 manifesto and the Common Minimum Programme (CMP)," he added.

He also pointed to the manner in which Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh led the government with responsibility as another factor for the impressive performance of the UPA.

He said the third factor was the manner in which Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi led the campaign.
