Deal between Fresenius Medical Care and SEHA

Recently there was an announcement made by the Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. KGaA (Frankfurt Stock Exchange: FME / New York Stock Exchange: FMS) that it has made an agreement with Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. PJSC (SEHA) with intention to handle the management of its dialysis facilities in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

It is the world’s largest provider of dialysis products and services, while SEHA is a public provider of health care services in the United Arab Emirates.

Earlier during the month of September 2010 both parties had announced their signing of a non-binding memorandum of understanding on the deal. The deal has the tenure of 10 years. Finally on 27th march 2011 the deal was effective. Under this agreement SEHA's six dialysis clinics in the emirate will be handled by Fresenius Medical Care along with the treatment of a total of approximately 600 patients. Apart from this, more 260-patient's dialysis facility is currently under working. There will be no change in the clinic physicians and nursing staff, all will be the employees of SEHA.

The most important thing is that both the parties have agreed to keep the financial details of the transaction as top secret.
