Deccan Chargers recorded their first win over Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League on Friday.

On Friday night, Irfan Pathan was in great spirits and in his full form, he chased 60 runs in just 29balls included 3 boundaries and 5 sixes. All the bowlers, fielders were whipped away from his batting, especially R. P. Singh. In the Barabati stadium, it seemed that Irfan Pathan would record a win for Kings XI Punjab.

Kings XI Punjab decision to opt for fielding proves wrong for them and Deccan Chargers had put a target of 171 in 20 over's. Kings XI wickets were falling regularly and stopped when Irfan Pathan holds the command.

In the last over, Adam decided to bring a medium pace bowler, Jaskaran Singh, who had got the wicket of Irfan Pathan. Adam Gilchrist is proud of his senior players- Andrew Symonds, Chaminda Vaas and Herschelle Gibbs who played brilliantly. Symonds was named man of the match.
