Dempo Sports Club skipper Anthony Pereira scored equalizer in the 88th minute to devoid Pune Football Club's (PFC) from their first win in the I-league as match ended at 1-1 draw at Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi on Sunday.

The first half of the match went goalless and Arata Izumi smashed ball into the nets in the 85th minutes to give 1-0 lead to the hosts. Anthony Pereira scored the equalizer in the 89th minute for Dempo as match ended into a 1-1 draw.

Pune FC defenders played well to hold Dempo's strikers even when they were playing without their main defender Chika Wali while Edmar Figueira and Arata Izumi broke Dempo's defense many times with a series of attacks.

With this draw, Pune FC denied Dempo from their second straight win after defeating JCT in Ludhiana. Both Pune FC and Dempo gained one point with this draw and Dempo is still leading the points table with a total of 12 points.
