Five killed in two blasts in Baghdad Baghdad - Five people on were killed and 25 injured in two bomb attacks in the Iraqi capital Baghdad since Sunday night, media reports quoting security sources said Monday.

A bomb that targeted a vehicle exploded in the Hubaibiya area of eastern Baghdad early Monday, killing three people and injured 12, the Aswat al-Iraq news agency reported.

The attack came just hours after an explosion ripped through a popular cafe in Doura in southern Baghdad, killing two people and injuring 13.

The bombings came one week before the scheduled US troop withdrawal from Iraqi cities. (dpa)
