Fork Sizes Influence the Food Intake: StudyAs per some researchers, using bigger fork resulted in less of eating, which was an effective measure for weight loss. Many researches had focused on the size of the food and the quantity of the food that people ate, but the researchers of the US had emphasized on the size of the bites of the food people consumed.

The researchers had conducted an experiment in an Italian restaurant, where two people were provided with two different sizes of forks. One fork accumulated 20% of the food whereas the other carried less than the quantity in the bigger fork. From the experiment the researchers found, that the person eating with the bigger fork ate less than the other one.

As per Arul Mishra, Himanshu Mishra, and Tamara, Masters from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, “In this research we examined the influence of small versus large bite-sizes on overall quantity of food consumed”.

Although, the research was not scientifically examined, as they would providing a differ result than the one held spontaneously at any restaurant. The researchers claimed that a dinner when examined scientifically will make the participants conscious while eating whereas carrying out an observation at a restaurant, where people arrived with the motive to eat provided with the actual readings.
