Gavaskar Takes Blessings Of Satya Sai BabaOn his 60th birthday, former Indian skipper Sunil Gavaskar took blessings of the Sri Satya Sai Baba as he visited Puttaparthi, the ashram of Satya Sai Baba near Bangalore on Friday.

On this religious visit to Puttaparthi, Gavaskar was joined by his family and his brother in law, Gundappa Viswanath.

The legendary cricketer Gavaskar has a lot of records under his belt including the record of first batsman ever to score 10,000 runs in the history of cricket.

In the cricketing career of 16 years, Gavaskar had scored 10,122 runs from 125 Tests with 34 hundreds which was a record for many years as Sachin Tendulkar surpassed his record in the recent past.

Gavskar’s record were really impressive keeping in view the deadly bowlers of West Indies and absence of modern safety equipments like helmet and he became first ever batsman to pass the record of Sir Donald Bradman's 29 centuries.
