GCC, Malaysia make business ties Stronger
A recently released report by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation expressed satisfaction over rising trade ties between Malaysia and Gulf countries. Trade between the GCC region and Malaysia reached $11 billion, indicating strengthening business ties between nations.
The Middle East Business Leaders Summit and Awards, or MEBLSA 2011, the region’s leading business leader’s forum, is all set to highlight the rising trade ties in its coming edition scheduled to be held on April 17 and 18 in Dubai. Experts will discus various measures for further boosting trade ties for rolling out a new era of mutual cooperation and bilateral trade ties.
Exports from Malaysia to UAE totaled $3.953 billion whilst imports from UAE to Malaysia reached $2.465 billion during 2010. Shahul Hameed, CEO of My Events International expressed, “UAE has managed to be at the forefront of Middle East growth and development because of its continuous efforts to maintain strong business and trade relations with key emerging economies.”
Besides increasing trade ties between UAE and Malaysia, a large number of tourists from the Middle East visited popular Malaysia destinations.
