German national found dead in Thailand Bangkok - A German national was found dead in a rubber plantation in Chon Buri province Friday, apparently the victim of a business-related murder, Thai media reports said.

Thai police said the shredded body of Uwe Keienburt, 45, an engineer employed by a real estate company, was discovered Friday morning in a rubber plantation in Banglamung district of Chin Buri, 90 kilometres south-east of Bangkok, The Nation online news reported.

Police said the man had been killed by a bomb tied to his body. A BMW car was found near the man's corpse.

Keienburt's Thai wife Araya, 40, told police that her husband had left their home in Bangkok Thursday and failed to return.

She said her husband had conflicts with a group of foreign real estate developers and had received death threats. (dpa)
