GM releases Cadillac ATS compact sports sedan

GM releases Cadillac ATS compact sports sedanAmerican auto maker, General Motors ahs released its new Cadillac ATS compact sports sedan in Detroit on Sunday.

The company claims that the company has a rear-wheel-drive chassis that is at least 100 pounds lighter than any of it rival models. The company had initiated a weight-reduction program for each section of the car to create a light weight vehicle.

According to GM North America President Mark Reuss, the new Cadillac ATS is not only comparable to models form Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz but is superior to them. The new model will come with three engine choices;
2-liter four-cylinder turbo with 270 horsepower, a 2.5-liter inline four with 200 horsepower and a 3.6-liter V-6 with 318 horsepower.

The car will be offered with both manual and automatic transmissions. In order to prove that the ATS is indeed comparable to 3-Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi A4, the company had tested the model at the difficult Nurburgring racing circuit, where most new models are tested for their worth in Germany.

The new models comes with an advanced active suspension featuring magnetorheological shock absorbers. On the interior, the car features an updated version of Cadillac’s signature design language, along with its new Cadillac User Experience infotaintment system.

The company has note revealed the pricing of the product for the customers yet.
