Hamburg - SV Hamburg paid a heavy price for their 1-0 win over Bayern Munich as central defender Bastian Reinhardt is sidelined for three months with a foot fracture sustained in Friday night's Bundesliga top match.

Hamburg said on saturday that a post-match x-ray revealed the nature of the injury and that further examinations will determine whether Reinhardt, who limped off the pitch in the second half, requires surgery.

"Bastian will probably be sidelined for three months," said team doctor Oliver Dierk. (dpa)
