HDFC Standard Life sees 63% rise in premium collectionHDFC Standard Life has seen a 63 per cent jump in its revenue through premium collection to be at rupees 692.7 crore for the first quarter of this fiscal.

One of the leading private life insurance provider, HDFC had seen revenue from new business to the tune of rupees 424.9 crore and was able to increase it with the usage of techniques to lower operating expenses as well have a steady rise in conservation ration.

During the period, it became the second largest private player in its segment and now has 12 per cent market share in this segment up from last year's 7.4 per cent during the same period last year.

It is noteworthy that the company has seen fantastic first quarter performance despite many challenges in front of them. They have managed to reduce their expenses by 23.1 per cent as against 30.4 per cent during Q1 of 2010.

The overall business of the company has touched rupees 1,478. p crore for the quarter, which is 47.8 per cent higher than last year. The asset under management has alone increased by 116 per cent.
