Beijing, Oct 16 - Three doctors have been arrested for illegally harvesting human organs in north China's Hebei province, Xinhua reported.

According to a municipal official, a private clinic was raided Sept 22 after authorities received tip offs regarding illegal organ transplants that allegedly took place at the clinic.

Three doctors were caught red-handed while preparing for an operation to remove a kidney from a man surnamed Yang, the official said.

All the three doctors were licensed doctors from the city of Dezhou in neighbouring Shandong province, the official said. (IANS)
