Malaria claimed 47 lives in Chhattisgarh in 2010

Raipur, March 8 : As many as 47 people died of malaria in Chhattisgarh in 2010, Health Minister Amar Agrawal told the state assembly Tuesday.
As many as 152,303 people, mostly in rural areas, were afflicted with malaria in 2010. In 2009, 129,397 people were hit by the disease and 11 were killed, he said in reply to a question.(IANS)
