Sarajevo/Tuzla  -  More than 50 people in the northern Bosnian city of Tuzla requested medical assistance after suffering food poisoning in a local fast-food restaurant, reports said Monday.

Seven people, according to Sena Sabovic, the doctor on duty at the local hospital, were hospitalized Sunday suffering from stomach problems, including fever and vomiting.

All the patients, according to the report, ate at a fast-food restaurant in downtown Tuzla.

It was believed bad mayonnaise in hamburgers and sandwiches caused the problem. Inspectors closed down the restaurant and opened an investigation. (dpa)
