Breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer after lung cancer. A recent study has developed a quick and cost-effective way to detect breast cancer. Researchers claim that this method will cost as little as 10 pounds. The new procedure focuses on study of two genes. This research was conducted by scientists at Cancer Research UK. This method will be available within a year in market. A new test detects hereditary breast cancer.

Professor Graham Taylor, Head of Genomic Services at Cancer Research UK said that it's important for two reasons to minimize the period when someone's anxious about the result, and I suppose because the sooner you make decisions the better it is. It should mean reduced waiting times and that means people can start making decisions about their choices for the future.

He added, "It's what we can do with new technology. It's exciting and promising and it will enable the tests to go ahead more easily than they do at the moment." 

Researchers believe that this new method can serve aim of worldwide awareness coverage about the illness and also most importantly make the cure affordable by a vast population. The after-effects of breast cancer are more of a psychological than just physical for women. Breast cancer is the fifth most common cause of cancer death.
