Singapore issues warning against "Mentalk" candySingapore  - Singapore health officials Saturday issued an urgent warning against consuming "Mentalk" candy because of a dangerous substance found in the product.

The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) said it detected aminotadalafil, a chemical used in drugs used to treat impotence which can also be fatal if consumed improperly.

The chemical is similar to tadalafil, an ingredient found in the drug Cialis used to treat erectile dysfunction in men, the HSA said.

The chemical can cause heart attacks and strokes, the HSA warned.

"Mentalk" candy is widely distributed on the internet. (dpa)
