Testosterone offers hope to 'werewolf syndrome' patientsPerson suffering from "werewolf syndrome," has hair all over his body and face. This is a very rare genetic condition known as hypertrichosis. Till now there has been no proper cure for it. Researchers from Columbia University claim that injection of testosterone may cure "werewolf syndrome." This study was filmed as part of a US television documentary called 'My Shocking Story: Real Wolf Kids'.

This documentary followed lives of a number of children living in Mumbai, India, including Pruthviraj, who were suffering with hypertrichosis. This documentary made a worldwide appeal to help Pruthviraj.

Pruthviraj Patil, 11, who lives near Mumbai, is a normal kid in every sense except the fact that the thick matted hair that covers his face. His unusual hair growth has made him target of bully since he was born.
