Scientists are working hard to discover a magic pill that will help people to live beyond 100 yrs and remain fit and healthy.

Dailyexpress. co. uk reported that researchers have acknowledged the life extension genes and had got the technique to prevent diseases like Alzheimer's, diabetes and cancer.

The drug will reach the retailing shops within next 18 months, told Professor Nir Barzilai, a researcher into the ageing process.

During this study Professor Barzilai, from New York's Albert Einstein College of Medicine founded that centenarians have high levels of cholesterol and high density of lipo-protein (HDL), which helps them to protect against Alzheimer's. He also said that a drug is been developed by Global pharmaceutical companies Merck and Roche which will promote the increase in HDL.

He said that these pills will be recommended at the age of 40s or 50s. He also said that there can be some issues which need extra attention beyond 100 yrs of age like pensions, social security etc but he advised that staying healthy and fit are better prospective of life.
