Australian researchers have found out that the high dose of vitamin D increases the chances of falls and fractures in case of the older women.
An investigation has been done by the researchers to know the single annual impact of high dose of Vitamin-D.
The researchers have conducted the study by the Geoff Nicholson of Barwon Health and University of Melbourne in Geelong.
But the result found was just the opposite of the result expected. There has been reduction in falls and fractures.
This has been informed by the Professor Nicholson of the research team. He has also said that Vitamin D is very much essential for the body for absorbing calcium which is very essential for healthy bones.
It also plays a very important role in keeping our muscles strong. Nicholson and his colleagues have tested and considered the high risk of fracture by testing the high-dose on a 70 year old woman.
The result of this research has came out it be high dose vitamin D groups have 15 % more falls in the aged women.
