Washington, May 31 : Two people in Toronto have reportedly acquired the enzyme associated with extensive antibiotic resistance called the `New Delhi metallo-ß-lactamase-1' (NDM-1).
The enzyme is common in India and Pakistan and is spreading worldwide through travel, medical tourism and its ability to transfer between bacteria.

MP Govt Dismisses 13 Physicians

As per reports, the Madhya Pradesh administration dismissed thirteen physicians from four medical colleges as their educational certifications were not acknowledged by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
The dismissed physicians were working as lecturers in the state's four medical colleges in Gwalior, Jabalpur, Bhopal and Rewas.
