New Delhi, Nov 14 - Women linked to drug abuse in any form -- as partners of drug abusers or narcotics consumers themselves -- are more vulnerable to mental health disorders than other women, experts said here Monday.

"Gynecomastia is associated with hormone fluctuations during puberty and it can also develop due to a variety of medical conditions, including testicular cancer," Pritam Parichey, president, New Look Cosmetic Laser Center, told IANS.

In a shocking incident, a two-month-old baby died few hours after taking DPT injection on Wednesday.

Daisy Jaswani, the infant's mom, took the baby boy to the MCD-run maternity centre at Trinagar in northwest Delhi for the inoculation in the morning.

Baby's parents said that the kid was fine otherwise, and died because of DPT vaccination.

New Delhi, Nov 12 : Civil society members Friday voiced concern over a major programme targetting HIV positive children facing closure due to financial constraints and called for efforts to save the scheme.

Chaha, a programme run by international NGO Alliance, is set to close in March 2011. It presently reaches almost 60,000 children in four states.

New Delhi, Nov 12 : Free health check up camps for diabetes and blood pressure will be set up in the slum areas of the capital by the Delhi government and the union health ministry Nov 14 -- World Diabetes Day.

The programme will be launched by Health and Family Welfare Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in a slum at Badarpur here Sunday.

New Delhi, Oct 25 : With the dengue spreading in the capital, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Monday resumed fogging after a three-day gap in a desperate bid to kill mosquitoes, officials said.

The civic body stopped fogging Oct 21 blaming the Delhi government for not releasing the funds since the Commonwealth Games ended Oct 14.
