Hero Honda Motors, leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has registered a phenomenal growth of 95% in its net profit for the second quarter ended on September 30, 2009.

During the said period, the firm has posted a net profit of Rs 597.14 crore.

Hero Honda officials stated in a communiqué that company’s net profit figure in the September three month period of Financial Year 2009 stood at Rs 306.30 crore.

In a separate release, the company has informed that its total income has also witnessed an upward trend to Rs 4,128.15 crore during the July-September period of the current year as compared to Rs 3,255.93 crore in the like period last fiscal.

Stock price of Hero Honda Motors Ltd settled the day in negative territory at Rs 1,612 down 2.90% on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The total volume of shares traded on BSE was 70,175.
