Homeless Man leaves Moving Note along with Donation

A homeless man has donated 18 cents to a Charlotte church. In his note, he has urged to not get angry over the amount donated, as he does not have much to donate and is homeless.

This gesture of the man, who wishes to remain anonymous, has touched the hearts of people. Margaret Creed and Ann Huskey get the Sunday morning breakfast for the Muffin Ministry at First United Methodist church in Uptown.

Both of them provide food to 150 homeless people before church services start. “We have something for them to eat and drink and we socialize and hug. We find out about their week and we have a good time”, affirmed Ann.

They were not surprised when one of the regular donors left a note with donation. After the story went viral, some people expressed their willingness to help the homeless man, but he refused. The man said that he wants the gift to be between him, God and the church.

Huskey said that it does not matter how big or how little, it is all about helping someone. One and all can do something to help people who are bit less fortunate than others.

The homeless man has identified himself to the church’s pastor, but does not want to be identified. Pastor Patrick Hamrick of First United Methodist Church said that he called the man for lunch at a local church soup kitchen.

The pastor shared that he was surprised to read the note. On the other hand, the man said that he saw his donation news on Facebook, after he recharged his phone. The man said that he knows by revealing his identity he can received help, but does not want.
