Honda may emerge stronger without Hero

Honda may emerge stronger without HeroWhile the news of Honda breaking its ties with Hero Group, a partnership that was struck way back in the 1980s is all around the market, the fact of the matter is the industry watchers expect the Japanese auto major to emerge as a stronger player without Hero.

On the other end, while the speculations in the market are supporting the fact that the Japanese company may sell its stake to a cluster of PE players, many are even echoing the fact that the Munjal family may pick up stake in the two-wheeler company.

But if the Japanese company decided to break its relationship with the Hero Group, the market experts are of a view that Honda will be a mainstream player rather than its counterparts like Suzuki who are still not able to make it big in the Indian market when came alone.

It is to be mentioned here that HMSI is a wholly owned subsidiary owned by Honda in the Indian market which is doing decent numbers and is giving a serious threat to TVS Motors for the third slot in the Indian two-wheeler market.
