Hong Kong closes school as three more cases of swine flu confirmedHong Kong  - The Hong Kong government on Thursday closed a school after it emerged that a student infected with swine flu attended a function there with about 200 other students.

The 17-year-old attended a rehearsal for a graduation ceremony at her school, the United Christian College, Wednesday, three days after returning from a trip to Vancouver with her mother and relatives.

She fell sick the following day and on Thursday was confirmed to be Hong Kong's 15th imported case of the new strain of the H1N1 flu virus, commonly referred to as swine flu.

Her 4-year-old cousin who travelled on the same trip to Canada, one of the countries hardest hit in the swine-flu outbreak, is also one of the confirmed cases.

A spokesman for the Centre for Health Protection said the school had been advised to close for 14 days as a precaution and said the situation would continue to be monitored. (dpa)
