Hrithik’s Loss Is Abhi’s Gain!

Hrithik Roshan has said no to Karan Johar for doing the re-make of ‘Agneepath’.

Earlier, a few reports in the media had indicated that Karan’s Dharma Productions was remaking the renowned film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty and Danny Denzongpa in the original.

KJo was initially planning to cast Hrithik in the powerful character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan which till date is remember one of his most famous ones.

However, it is now reported that Abhishek Bachchan has stepped into his father’s big shoes to play the iconic character.

Speaking on this, an industry insider said: “Abhi has said in many of his interviews that Agneepath is his favorite film. Naturally, he was overjoyed when Karan asked him to play the role which his father has originally played. It has always been Abhishek’s dream to do once what his father has done in his career, and he sees Agneepath as the perfect opportunity.”

It may be recalled here that Agneepath, one of the big super-hits of 90’s, was produced by Karan’s late father Yash Johar. The film had helped Amitabh Bachchan to bag a National Award.
