The hybrid variety of this breed helps stays longer than usual varieties precisely up to 1 week than any other variety.

Avtar Handa of Purdue University said, "We can inhibit the ageing of plants and extend the shelf life of fruits by an additional week for tomatoes. This is basic fundamental knowledge that can be applied to other fruits." The professor added that these tomatoes stay plumper for a longer period when compared to addition of polyamines such as spermine and spermidine in its production.

The organic elements aid in advancements and help in the processing and nutritional quality of the vegetable and the same time help in ageing.

The yeast spermidine synthase gene was founded by a graduate student-Savithri Nambeesan at Handa's laboratory. The compound helps in increasing the levels of production of spermidine in tomatoes.
